Planning System Engagement #
Introduction #
The Planning System Engagement feature is designed to enhance user interaction and collaboration within the planning processes. It evaluates engagement by calculating scores based on two types of metrics:
- Plan Engagement Metrics
- Plan Performance Metrics
These metrics help access user participation and performance in executing plans.
Types of Metrics #
1. Plan Engagement Metrics #
This category evaluates user involvement in planning activities. It includes 11 sub-metrics, described below:
Metric | Description |

Minimum Required Business Actions | Based on the total business action plans created in the frontend relative to the goals set by the admin user. |
Annual Plan Approval | Calculated based on the approval status of the overall annual plan. |
Annual Plan Acceptance | Determined by the acceptance status of the overall annual plan. |
YTD QBR Acceptance | Calculated from the acceptance of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) year-to-date. |
% of Tasks Assigned (Brand) | Based on tasks assigned to CAMs (channel account managers) to date. |
Tasks Completed (YTD) | Calculated from tasks marked as completed year-to-date. |
% of Tasks Assigned (Partner) | Based on tasks assigned to partner contacts to date. |
% of Required Tactic Details Completed | Based on plans showing a green completion clipboard icon in the frontend. |
% of Months YTD Where Plan Export Completed | Calculated by the number of months with at least one export done year-to-date. |
Target YTD Capabilities Score | Based on the capability score displayed in the front end. |
% of Months YTD with Updates | Determined by updates made in the frontend at least once per month year-to-date. |
2. Plan Performance Metrics #
- This category includes ‘Performance-to-Plan (PPD)‘ metrics.
- Admin users can select which performance metrics will be visible in the frontend and the CAM dashboard.

Plan Engagement Metrics measure user participation and actions in the planning process, such as plan approvals, task assignments, and updates.

Both CAMs and Partner Contacts can view these metrics, depending on their access levels. Admin users determine which metrics are displayed.

Yes, the Plan Performance Metrics can be customized by the admin to display selected metrics in the frontend.
4. How frequently are the scores updated?
Scores are updated in real-time or periodically, based on system settings.
